Our Graduation Speaker

Brenda Gail Moore

 

Ms. Brenda Gail Moore is a recent retiree of Martin Community College  after almost 36 years of service.  Her official title was Human Resources Development Program Coordi-nator where the mission is to work with unemployed and the underemployed adults preparing them for success in the workplace through further training and/or job replacement.  

 

She is a lifelong resident of Martin County who received her undergraduate degree from Elizabeth City State University in Business Administration and her masters from East Carolina University in Adult Education. She is an ardent supporter of her ECSU Alma Mater and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  She is currently attending Green Memorial Church of Christ under the leadership of Pastor Lester Mitchell.

 

Ms. Moore, throughout her career has worn many hats.  She is a teacher, director, administrator, and mentor. Overall, her career has been spent helping others achieve their goals

 

Upon her retirement, her co-workers had this to say:  “It was an honor to celebrate Ms. Brenda G. Moore for her 36 years of service to Martin Community College, and it is our prayer that on her retirement, God will bless her to enjoy this new journey of her life!!! For the dedication and hard work, Ms. Moore deserves the best retirement ever.”

 

Congratulations and God’s blessings for a Retirement Life full of nothing but God’s blessings, favor, happiness, healthiness, wealthiness and wiseness.

Ashley is the daughter of Bobby and Wanda Bell.  She graduated from Martin Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and a diploma from Bertie Early College. She will be attending UNC-Charlotte, where she will major in Geriatric Nursing.

 

Shaniya Percilla Bond

Bertie Early College High School

Shaniya, the daughter of Emmanuel Bond, graduated with the intent to continue her education at Martin Community College. She will be pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Arts.  Once she has completed that degree, she can look forward to much shorter term completing her Bachelor’s Degree at a university.

 

Ronde Anthony Johnson

Bertie High School

Ronde is the son of ReJulia Outlaw.  He graduated from Bertie High School and has been accepted at Johnson and Wales University, School of Culinary Arts in Charlotte, NC. He plans to major in Business Management with a minor in Culinary Arts.
